About Us

Fern was founded in Brooklyn, New York by Jason Roskey and Maggie Goudsmit in 2009.

Currently, the company is based in New York’s Hudson River Valley where we continue to build upon the region’s long furniture-making tradition. Jason designs, and along with a team of talented furniture makers, produces bench-crafted studio furniture from our studio and work room in the town of Hudson, NY.

Our focus is a number of unique and evolving furniture designs with an emphasis on customization for our clients. We work with a select group of hardwood suppliers, metalworkers, master upholsterers and other craftspeople to produce heirloom-quality pieces for both residential and commercial clients.
